A&E Waiting Area, Hillingdon Hospital, Middlesex
On this project I was commissioned as the lead artist working as part of a team with hospital staff, architects and contractors.
The basic layout of the room was designed by the architect. My role was to produce artwork – the mosaics – and specify the colours and finishes, including the Marmoleum floor. The project involved consultation and practical workshops with hospital staff and patients.
The project was one of a number of nurse-led refurbishment schemes sponsored by the King's Fund.
