Functional Garden for Older Patients, Callington Road, Bristol
This garden was designed with the input of older patients with mental health needs for Callington Road, Bristol. The garden's function is to encourage patients to venture outside and take exercise, to stimulate memory, and to provide interest and a link with nature when viewed from the ward.
The overall theme was 'daisy chains'. The patients remembered these from childhood, and they wanted a garden that felt familiar and friendly.
